A great gig. I was right down by the front of the stage, I had to duck every time Neale turned or else his Explorer guitar would hit me on the head.... I needn't have worried however as I was soon kicked in the head by some skinhead. Next thing I remember is waking up backstage by a very concerned Pauline who offered me as many cans of Carling from the rider as I wanted! I'd only missed the encore and so I would like to thank that skinhead.
Keep up the good work, John Harley
(Middleton gig)

February
14- Queen's University, Belfast (McMordie Hall)
with support by local punk act Shock Treatment, what a scorcher it was.
I was 15 and I proudly brought my ticket into school to show it off ,
the legend read `St Valentines Night Massacre`.Belfast was quite hairy at the time
and we had to travel into town for the gig.
A school friend who had zero interest in music said `Yeah, and d`ya know who`s gonna get massacred?'
Pretty scary for us at the time but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. (Thanks Mike)

JUNE / JULY ? WHISKEY A GO GO, LOS ANGELES.(2 nights / 2 sets)

July
14 - Easington Leisure Centre: Peterlee Festival
Can you put a date to a gig Penetration did at a sports centre as above. The reason I ask, is that a bunch of Hebburn Punks went to this gig. We got the bus from Newcastle but it broke down on the way. We thought we would never make the gig. However, the bus company sent another bus. We commandeered the top of the bus and changed the number and location to the 999 to No Place. We thought it was pretty appropriate considering, it was pretty cool watching peoples faces as we approached bus stops. Ta. Sean Halligan
